'Having loads of sweets, gaining weight' : Shah Rukh Khan & Gauri's Diwali bash at Mannat already looks inviting

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan ’s Diwali bash is often touted as one of the most star-studded events of tinsel town. However, the last two years have seen the festival in low-key celebrations, and more so, the couple’s son Aryan Khan ’s arrest in an alleged drug case last year in October had furthermore called for a difficult time for the family. So, it is not a surprise when Gauri hinted in a recent interview how the Diwali celebrations this October at the Khan household will be all about spending time with loved ones and spreading happiness.

Talking about the same, Gauri Khan in a recent interview with NDTV gave a prior glimpse of what the Diwali celebrations will look like for the Khans. The celebrity interior designer said, “I think, in festivals, you look forward to just the family being together and celebrating something and looking forward to something. If nothing else, just having loads of sweets in the house, gaining some weight, and playing cards. It’s just fun being with the family and decorating the house so, I am looking forward to that.”

Apart from this, Gauri Khan also said that this time there will be an extra sparkle added to their residence Mannat during the Diwali celebrations. She said, “Well, we haven’t started yet but yes decorating the house and putting loads of lights and an extra sparkle and really looking forward to Diwali this year.” Well, we cannot wait to see how the joyous celebrations for Shah Rukh Khan and his family unfold this year.

Talking about Gauri Khan, she turned host for the first time in her new show Dream Homes with Gauri Khan where she will be designing spaces for celebrity homes. These include Katrina Kaif, Malaika Arora, Jacqueline Fernandez, Farah Khan, and many more. She will also be seen in the latest episode of Koffee With Karan 7 along with Maheep Kapoor and Bhavana Pandey.
