'He has not seen his children' : Nawazuddin Siddiqui's lawyer reveals he will revoke petition against wife Aaliya if allowed to meet his kids

There has been a new development in the ongoing legal tussle between actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his estranged wife Aaliya. According to a news report in Hindustan Times, the actor has informed the Bombay High Court that he will revoke his claim for habeas corpus if given the permission to meet both his children. His lawyer Pradeep Thorat has revealed that the actor is concerned for his kids who he feels have been missing their school in Dubai.

A news report in India Today revealed Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s lawyer’s statement which said, “That was the only reason that a habeas corpus was filed. I am aware of the limited relief that I can get in this petition. He has not seen his children physically. This is his limited concern. After that I will withdraw the petition.” However, the Gangs Of Wasseypur actor’s wife Aaliya’s lawyer Shikar Khandelwal claimed that it is Nawazuddin who is not bothered to meet his children. The statement read, “My client is willing to settle the matter. But when she is living with the children at the actor's mother's residence, then how is it possible that he does not know where they are? He is very much free to meet his children. He is the one who is not meeting them."

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s lawyer Pradeep furthermore claimed that his wife Aaliya had an FIR registered against her by his family and that she had approached the Bombay High Court to terminate the same. He further added that the last petition for the same was on March 14 and the next one will be on March 27, 2023. His statement said, “All concerns as of now are being communicated through lawyers on email, which is basically for demand of money. On the next date of hearing, on March 27, the parties are to meet in the chamber of the judges. We can keep this case after that.”

Earlier, Aaliya Siddiqui had sent shockwaves on the internet after she had shared a video of her standing outside her husband’s bungalow with her weeping children. She had alleged that Nawazuddin Siddiqui had thrown her and their kids Shora and Yaani out of his house. However, the actor had rubbished all her allegations.
