Hera Pheri 3: Akshay Kumar may return as Raju but is Kartik Aaryan still a part of the film?

Seems like Akshay Kumar would retain his role of Raju from the superhit franchise Hera Pheri in the upcoming sequel backed by producer Firoz Nadiadwala. The latest development suggests that the producer and Akshay met a couple of times to sort out the differences. And Akshay has shown interest in not just acting but being involved creatively to make Hera Pheri 3 a huge success.

For those unversed, Hera Pheri is among the most loved franchises in the film industry. The three characters of Raju, Shyam, and Baburao played by Akshay, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal respectively become iconic ever since it was released. A couple of weeks ago, the sequel of the movie made news when Kartik Aaryan was confirmed to be part of it. And fans were utterly disappointed when Akshay announced his exit.

Well, as per Pinkvilla reports, producer Firoz Nadiadwala has reinitiated the conversations with Akshay. “While everything was on paper with regard to the casting of Hera Pheri 3 with Kartik Aaryan, the tides are now changing again. Over the last 10 days, Firoz has met Akshay Kumar a couple of times to sort out all the differences and get him back to the loved franchise. He realizes how iconic the character is and also acknowledges that the credit to make the character scale new heights goes to the way in which Akshay enacted the part,” revealed a source close to the development.

Earlier, it was reported that Akshay turned down the Hera Pheri 3 sequel because of less remuneration. There was buzz that Kartik agreed to do the movie for rs 30 crore, while Akshay demanded Rs 90 crore. However, it was later clarified that Akshay was not satisfied with the script and money was no issue. Well, it is yet to be seen if Akshay returns as Raju and fulfills his fans’ wishes.
