If you think Hrithik Roshan will outdo Vijay Sethupathi in the Vikram Vedha remake, there’s something he’d like you to know

Even before the release of Vikram Vedha , Hrithik Roshan seems to concede defeat against South actor Vijay Sethupati’s sublime acting as Vedha in the original movie. As the actor has made an indirect statement that his performance in the same role is not extraordinary. In a recent media interaction, when asked if he is prepared for the comparisons, he said that he can’t think of achieving that level.

To note, Vikram Vedha is the Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil film of the same name that starred R Madhavan as Vikram and Vijay as Vedha. In the upcoming film, Hrithik is stepping into the shoes of Vijay, and Saif Ali Khan will be seen in the role of Madhavan. Besides them, the film also stars Radhika Apte and Rohit Saraf in pivotal roles.

Recently, Hrithik and Saif flew to Delhi for promotions and interacted with the media. Talking about the inevitable comparisons of his version of Vedha to Vijay’s, Hrithik said, “There is nothing I can do about it. I have done my part. The only thing in my control is to do my best. That’s all. There’s a prayer I say every day: ‘give me the courage to change what things I can, serenity to accept what cannot be changed, and the insight to know the difference’. Once I know that, I am content.” Further, he added, “ I know how amazingly Vijay Sethupathi did the same part. I can’t in my dreams think that I would achieve that level. Yet, I have done my best and I am happy with what I have done.”

Meanwhile, directed by filmmaker-duo Pushkar-Gayatri, who also helmed the original, Vikram Vedha follows the story of a cop who is on a hunt to arrest a gangster. However, in a turn of events, the gangster challenges the cop’s version of good and evil. The film is soon to be released on September 30 in cinemas.
