'It's fake, a lie' : Chetan Bhagat denies allegations by Urfi Javed of sending intimate texts to young girls

Over the past few days, Urfi Javed ’s sharp allegations and brickbats on author Chetan Bhagat have been grabbing several headlines. The actress went on a rant against the writer after he called her a ‘distraction’ and the cause of addiction to phones amongst the youth. Urfi then went on to not only call Chetan for his statements towards her but also exposed some of his alleged chats with young women wherein he was trying to ‘woo’ them.

Now, Chetan Bhagat has taken to his social media handle to deny these serious allegations by Urfi Javed. He also took a dig at the former Bigg Boss OTT contestant by hinting that he didn’t say anything wrong with his statements on phone addiction amongst youth. The 3 Mistakes Of My Life author stated, “Have never spoken to/chatted with/met/ known someone where it’s being spread that I have done so. It’s fake. a lie. also a non-issue. Haven’t criticized anyone. And I also think there’s nothing wrong in telling people to stop wasting time on Instagram and focus on fitness and career.” Take a look at his tweet.

However, it seems like some netizens weren’t convinced and went on to hurl him with trolling. One of the netizens stated, “So as u claiming it's fake, what's stopping u from taking legal action against her? And please at least once look at yourself before advising others about fitness.” A user further added, “Stop wasting time on Twitter instead focus on your career and learn how to improve writing books.” Many netizens furthermore questioned Chetan Bhagat that if he thinks that Urfi Javed has levied fake allegations on him, why is he not taking legal action against her? As a result, many netizens felt that Urfi’s statements against the writer might be true.
