Jayeshbhai Jordaar box office collection day 1: Ranveer Singh's film fails to make a 'Jordaar' impact

Ranveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar was released to the theatres on Friday (May 13). While the box office prediction about the movie was leaning to be a dissatisfying one, sadly it exactly turned out to be that way and did not surprise the audience otherwise.

Ranveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar was released to the theatres on Friday (May 13). While the box office prediction about the movie was leaning to be a dissatisfying one, sadly it exactly turned out to be that way and did not surprise the audience otherwise. The movie has indeed started off with poor collections at the box office.

The first-day collections of Jayeshbhai Jordaar are now only Rs 3 crore, according to trade analyst Ramesh Bala . The collection is pretty much unfortunate for the makers and for Ranveer Singh as well, given that his previous movie, 83 had also failed to work wonders at the box office. Take a look at Bala’s tweet.

A news report in Box Office India stated that Jayeshbhai Jordaar is meeting the same fate as Shahid Kapoor ’s Jersey and Ajay Devgn ’s Runway 34. The report stated that the audience is losing interest to watch the delayed pre-pandemic content. It quoted, “Jayeshbhai Jordaar has taken a poor start which has become the story week in week out as this delayed pre-pandemic content makes its way to the cinemas when the audience has little appetite for it. The opening of Jayeshbhai Jordaar is pretty much on the lines of Runway and Jersey so it becomes about that Saturday growth.”

The news report furthermore stated that there are bleak chances of Jayeshbhai Jordaar seeing growth after Saturday (May 14), something which also happened with Runway 34 and Jersey. It stated, “The problem here is that there will be Saturday growth but it’s a low starting point, and can the sort of growth come that came before the pandemic and can the film consolidate that growth on Sunday. Runway and Jersey failed to do this despite Saturday going up well and it remains to be seen how Jayeshbhai Jordaar goes."

Jayeshbhai Jordaar also stars Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani , and Ratna Pathak Shah in the lead roles. It has been helmed by Divyang Thakkar . The movie is based on the ill effects of female foeticide.
