Kangana Ranaut reveals she wants to teach acting; remembers the teacher who predicted she will be a movie star

After becoming one of Bollywood’s top actresses, a director and a producer, Kangana Ranaut has now expressed her desire to be a teacher

One of the biggest examples of self-made stars in the Hindi film industry is Bollywood’s reigning queen Kangana Ranaut . She began her journey as an actress with Mahesh Bhatt’s Gangster: A Love Story in 2006. Even though she was just 17 years old when she shot the film, she breathed life into her character like an experienced artist. Back then, many critics had called Kangana a terrific find and were glad she was ‘discovered’ by the makers. Well, in her latest social media post, Kangana has now introduced us to one of the first people who knew that she was born to be a star.

In her Instagram story, the actress remembered her school’s principal who had predicted that she would be a ‘movie star’ some day. Along with a picture of her first day, Kangana shared, “This was my first day in the Chandigarh DAV hostel and my principal Ms Sachdeva maam noticed me because of my dress, she called me and asked where are you from? I shyly said Himachal se, she asked 'yeh dress kahan se li?' I said "maine design ki and village tailor ne banayi' she smiled and hugged me tight and said you will become a movie star one day...”

In the following posts, Kangana remembered how she was honoured as the ‘pride of DAV’ after her acting career began. Her doting principal ma’am even visited her in Mumbai many times to spend time with the actress and to shower her with love and blessings. In her final social media story, Kangana revealed she hopes to be a teacher one day too. She shared, “Someday I want to teach acting and filmmaking and be like maam.” Well, we can’t think of anyone better than her to teach the craft that she is currently busy excelling at.

On the movie front, Kangana has an exciting line up of films in her kitty including Tejas, Chandramukhi 2 and Emergency, which she is also directing. She will also hopefully return as host for Lock Upp season 2.
