Kangana Ranaut thinks of Salman Khan as a 'close friend', reveals how Aamir Khan failed to stand up for her

Actress Kangana Ranaut has called Bollywood star Salman Khan her close friend in a recent interview after recently having attended an Eid bash hosted by him at sister Arpita Khan Sharma’s place. Kangana who doesn’t agree with most voices in the industry and has self admittedly vowed never to work with the Khans spoke about her equations with Aamir Khan and Salman during a recent interaction with RJ Sidharth Kannan.

“It’s not that I don’t attend Bollywood parties, I go where I want. Salman is a very good friend of mine, usne party pe bulaya, toh main chali gayi (he called me for his party, so I went). As simple as that,” Kangana said in the interview.

Kangana Ranaut might not see eye to eye with most Bollywood celebrities as far as her views are concerned but was grateful to see that Salman was one of the handful of celebs from the film industry who watched and publicly apricated the trailer of her upcoming actioner Dhaakad.

Salman had shared the trailer of the film and written on social media, ““Wishing team #Dhaakad the very best! @kanganaranaut @rampal72 @smaklai.” Kangana had then responded to Salman’s post and said that the actor has ‘heart of gold’ and added that thanks to his gesture she’d never have to say again that she’s alone in the industry.

Kangana in the same conversation also revealed how she had approached actor Aamir Khan personally to give a shoutout to her film Manikarnika once as he had done previously with her in the past with projects like PK and Dangal but he didn’t come through.

While Kangana does complain about her colleagues in Bollywood not standing up for her, the actress said that she has risen about asking celebrities for endorsements.

“I am beyond that now. At the time of Manikarnika, I told people personally, including Aamir Khan. I have made calls saying that, ‘You always call me for your trials like PK or Dangal. You also talk about my films.’ Now I am beyond that stage,” she said, adding that it’s up to the actors now,” Kangana said about Aamir.
