Apart from being one of the most sought after and busiest actors of Bollywood, heartthrob Kartik Aaryan is also one of the most beloved stars of our country. The reason why fans love him so much is his raw and real personality. Well, recently Kartik took some time off from his busy work schedule to spend one whole day with the brave officers of our Indian Navy. He entertained them, played video games with them and even made rotis! It was a fun day for the officers as well as the actor.

Well, in a chat with ETimes on the occasion of Independence Day , Kartik revealed how he was inspired by freedom fighters while growing up. He was quoted saying, “During our childhood we didn’t have internet and stories were told by our grandparents or those comic books which illustrated their tales. As a kid I used to love reading stories of Bhagat Singh. Then the stories of Mahatma Gandhi and his non violent ways to win over the English, infused us with values. Freedom fighter’s stories, even today, leave a sense of pride in me and give me goosebumps at times.”

When asked which freedom fighter’s biopic would he want to be a part of if given the chance, Kartik replied that all brave hearts have their own story to tell and he is in no position to pick one bravery story over another. He went on to add, “Our freedom fighters have amazing stories and playing even any one of them on the big screen will mean a lot to me as an artiste.”

On the work front, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 star has several exciting projects in his kitty including Shehzada with Kriti Sanon, Freddy and Hansal Mehta’s social drama Captain India, which features him as an air force officer.
