    Kartik Aaryan has managed to push himself several notches higher on the stardom scale in 2022, the year which has proved to be unfruitful for some of the biggest stars in Indian cinema. However, the year that has been all about attaining new highs for the Freddy actor is now ending on a slightly disappointing note as an update about one of his highly anticipated projects has surfaced.

    While Kartik is busy celebrating the year end in Paris and is sharing regular updates with his fans on social media, a report on Bollywood Hungama has claimed that Kartik’s upcoming film Captain India with filmmaker Hansal Mehta has now been put on the backburner.

    According to the portal, the project has been delayed indefinitely and the probable reason behind this is the full calendars of both Kartik and Hansal in the near future. While the news a downer, it is not to be assumed that the film has been shelved just yet. According to a source of the portal, both Kartik and Hansal are keen on making the film together are likely to collaborate in the near future when they both have space in their schedules.

    The project tentatively titled Captain India was announced in July 2021 with Kartik sharing the first look of the project where he was in uniform as a pilot. There were no more updates that came after and the project after multiple delays has now finally been put on hold.

    For now, Kartik is looking at a big year in 2023, where he will aim to follow up the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Freddy this year with his next Shehzada and Satyaprem Ki Katha. He has also bagged the much-anticipated Hera Pheri 3 which is likely to on floors next year as will Aashiqui 3 which he has been announced this year to be leading.

    Hansal Mehta, on the other hand, has been busy with the follow up season of his hit web series Scam 1992. He is working on Scam 2003 which is based on ‘Stamp Paper Scam’ carried out by Abdul Karim Telgi. The show was announced a few months ahead of Captain India.
