On Thursday night, the actor shared a series of pictures and videos on his IG stories with the caption that read: Time for some football and swimming. In the first video, he can be seen walking on the ground filled with rain water, whereas another video shows the Dhamaka actor running across the ground after football. Kartik’s horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 continues its dream run at the box office even after a month of release. Directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by T-series, the film is a standalone sequel to Priyadarshan’s 2007 film and also stars Kiara Advani , Tabu , Rajpal Yadav , and Sanjay Mishra in prominent roles. The film broke several box office records and went on to earn over 200 Crore worldwide.
Now that the film is released on Netflix, it is topping the list of non-English films among the global audience. Overwhelmed by the response on OTT space, Kartik told IANS, “Our film is trending as the number one Non-English film globally and in 19 countries since its release on Netflix. BB2 continues to get so much love in cinemas even today and it feels even more special when this love becomes universal and people around the world are connecting to it through the internet and breaking the language barrier.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik will next be seen in Rohit Dhawan's Shehzada , a remake of Allu Arjun ’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo . The film stars Kriti Sanon in the female lead. Besides it, he also has Shashanka Ghosh's romantic thriller film Freddy with Alaya F , Sajid Nadiadwala’s Satyanarayan Ki Katha, and Hansal Mehta’s social drama Captain India.
