Krushna Abhishek’s name is connected to his mother’s love for Amitabh Bachchan; here’s how

Recently comedian and actor Krushna Abhishek joined Maniesh Paul for an exciting episode of his podcast. During this fun interaction, he opened up about his tiff with uncle Govinda and even revealed how he got his name. Most people don’t know but Krushna’s real name is Abhishek Sharma. Astrologer Sanjay Jumani suggested that he change his name to Krushna, which he did on his wife Kashmera Shah’s insistence and just a few days after that he bagged Nach Baliye. But why did he decide to keep Abhishek in the name?

Well, his name has a connection with megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek. Krushna explained, “My name is Abhishek Sharma. My mother was a big fan of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. When I was born, she named me after his son – Abhishek. I was named Abhishek because of Abhishek Bachchan. And then my name had to be removed and made Krushna, also because of Abhishek. When I got into acting, I was told there’s already an actor by the name of Abhishek. That time, websites were becoming popular.”

Krushna shared that when the name ‘Abhishek’ was typed in on the intrenet, the Dostana actor’s picture showed up. So then he decided to keep his name ‘Krushna Abhishek’, as it is original and unique. Well, today he has become a household name thanks to his talent and the great work that he has done in the last 26 years. Not only is he one of the most popular comedians on Indian television, but has also made a mark in the film industry.
