Actress Kubbra Sait , known for her wonderful work in projects such as Sacred Games and Jawaani Jaaneman, has now made her debut as an author with Open Book. Described as ‘part memoir and part inspirational treatise’, it follows the struggles the Bengaluru girl faced growing up and how she eventually came into her own. In one particular chapter, which has made headlines, Kubbra revealed she terminated a pregnancy at the age of 30 after a one-night stand in 2013.

In the chapter titled I Wasn't Ready to Be a Mother, the actress recalled that she got intimate with someone she knew during her trip to Andaman post a scuba diving session. Well, in a recent chat with Times Now, Kubbra opened up about the same and shared that a week later she decided to get an abortion. It wasn’t the way she had imagined her life and was not ready. In fact, the actress does not think she is still ready and does not understand the society’s pressure on women to get married early and start a family by the time they turn 30.

Kubbra has no regrets. She was quoted saying, “Of course I felt like a terrible human being. A horrible human being because of that choice I had made. But my feeling bad did not come from how I felt but rather how other people would perceive it. My choice was about me. Sometimes helping yourself can be hard. But it is ok. You have to do it.”

On the work front, Kubbra was last seen in RK/RKay, which also stars Rajat Kapoor , Mallika Sherawat and Ranvir Shorey.
