Puri Jagannadh’s Liger is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of the year. The trailer as well as the songs have received a massive thumbs up and fans can’t wait to see South sensation Vijay Deverakonda in his first ever Hindi film. The pan India sports action film also marks Ananya Panday ’s debut in the Telugu industry. Well, the lead stars are currently busy on a promotional spree. While Ananya has been sporting super chic outfits, Vijay is keeping it cool in casuals paired with his famous chappals, which made headlines during the trailer launch.

In the past Vijay had stated that his film Liger will be a blockbuster, otherwise he’ll end up looking like a fool. In a recent chat with ETimes, when he was asked about the same, the actor shared, “Yes, I said that and I put myself on the line. But I know it's a blockbuster. That's why I am sitting so relaxed opposite you, my feet up, cross legged, and my chappals below me.” The slippers have been a constant in Vijay’s wardrobe ever since Liger promotions began. He explained that 30 days he’s out working and he wears all sort of things. Vijay added, “Life is easier with one set of chappals in such circumstances.”

When asked if he’s conscious about the Bollywood fashion police, the actor gave a splendid answer. Vijay replied, “No, why should I? The fashion police will get used to it. They can complain 4 times, but not more.” Well, his chappals are already a hit. Fans are calling him down to earth and can’t stop pouring love on him. We are sure his film Liger will also be welcomed with open arms when it arrives in theatres on 25th August.
