'Maan ja kitne logo ko nachayega': Akshay Kumar trolled for dancing with 'OG choreographers' on Main Khiladi song from Selfiee

Akshay Kumar is leaving no stone unturned to promote his upcoming film, Selfiee after the debacle of his films like Ram Setu, Samrat Prithviraj, and Raksha Bandhan. Last week, the new song Main Khiladi from the film was released which is the recreation of the 90s track of the same name. It features him with co-star Emraan Hashmi setting the dance floor on fire with their energetic moves. On Saturday, the actor grooved with notable choreographers Ganesh Acharya, Chinni Prakash, and Rekha Prakash on the song and impressed fans with his energy. However, a section of people trolled him for trying too hard to promote the film.

Taking to Instagram, Akshay shared a video in which he could be seen performing the hook step of Main Khiladi with choreographers. “Aapko kya laga hum inhe bhool gaye? Duniya bhar mein ‘new age’ dhoond lo, but nothing matches the vibe of original legends. #MainKhiladi with the OG choreographers Chinni Prakash-Rekha and Ganesh was one such masterclass!! Soon after, the netizens spammed the comment section with their reactions. One user wrote, “Akki Don aab too maan ja kitne logo ko nachayega tere barabar stamina nahin hai kisi mein” (Agreed, how many people will make you dance, no one has the same stamina as you). Another commented, “What time has it come sir, I have to try to redo my own song.” One of the fans requested Akshay to groove with his Main Khiladi Tu Anari co-star Saif Ali Khan, “Akshay sir Make one with Saif Ali khan,” Earlier, Akshay grooved with Tiger Shroff on the Main Khiladi song. For the unversed, the two are collaborating on an action drama, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Sharing the video, he wrote, “So @tigerjackieshroff played #MainKhiladi with me and this happened!! How about you make a #MainKhiladi reel with your bestie? I’ll repost.#Selfiee.”

Meanwhile, Selfiee is directed by Raj Mehta and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Besides Akshay and Emraan, the film also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty in pivotal roles. The film is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Driving Licence, and is slated to hit theatres on February 24, 2023.
