Madhur Bhandarkar has a shocking reaction to news about him collaborating with Kangana Ranaut

Madhur Bhandarkar has some of the critically-acclaimed films like Page 3, Fashion , Chandni Bar, and Traffic Signal in his credit. The man has returned to his director’s chair after a gap of almost five years with Babli Bouncer. There were speculations that the director has reunited with his Fashion(2008) actor Kangana Ranaut for another project. Recently, he put the rest to all such rumors with his statement.

While talking on the sidelines of his upcoming movie, Babli Bouncer, Bhandarkar opened up about the project with Kangana and said, “Right now nothing as such is happening. Kangana is a very talented actress. We meet and talk. My concentration is only on Babli Bouncer. Followed by India lockdown.” To note, after Bhandarkar’s last film Indu Sarkar (2017), he was busy writing the women-centric film Babli Bouncer, starring Tamannaah Bhatia, which focuses on the life of a female bouncer in Indian society. Amid this, he also came up with, India Lockdown which narrates the gruesome story of Indians during the first lockdown due to covid-19. It will be released soon.

Furthermore, Bhandarkar shared his views on Bollywood’s dry spell at the box office. “If the film industry suffers, we will suffer. This year only films like RRR, Pushpa, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and The Kashmir Files have done wonders at the box office. They were superhit. So this is wrong that films are not working. The magic of cinema will never go.“The audience is now watching so many types of content on OTT platforms. The standard has become higher. But my gut feeling is that they will go parallel together,” he added.

Meanwhile, talking about Kangana, the actress is busy shooting for her upcoming political drama Emergency. She will be featuring in the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the movie which is being directed and produced by herself. The film also has Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, and Shreyas Talpade in pivotal roles.
