Coronavirus has taken over once again and there has been a shocking spike in the number of cases in the last few weeks. South superstar Mahesh Babu and Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker are the latest victims of the virus. Just last night, Mahesh took to his official social media handle to announce that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is showing mild symptoms. He has isolated himself at home and can’t wait to be back in action. In his post, the superstar also urged his fans and followers to get vaccinated if they haven’t already, as it reduces risk of hospitalization and severe symptoms.

Swara, on the other hand, has been in isolation along with her family since the evening of 5th January, when she began to develop symptoms. She has informed everyone who came in contact with her to get tested and is taking all the necessary precautions required. In her post, the actress wrote: “ Hello Covid! Just got my RT-PCR test resulted and have tested positive. Been isolating & in quarantine. Symptoms include fever, a splitting headache and loss of taste. Double vaccinated so hope this passes soon. SO grateful for family & to be at home. Stay safe everyone.”

With many celebrities testing positive in the past few months, it seems as if novel coronavirus has firmly gripped the film industry. Other actors who recently announced that they contracted COVID-19 and isolated themselves include John Abraham, Mrunal Thakur , Arjun Kapoor , Shanaya Kapoor, Dhrashti Dhami and Prem Chopra to name a few.

We wish Mahesh Babu and Swara Bhasker a speedy recovery!
