Manoj Bajpayee's mother Geeta Devi dies at 80 due to prolonged illness

    Manoj Bajpayee on Thursday morning lost his mother Geeta Devi to prolonged illness. His 80-year-old mother breathed her last at 8:30 am in Delhi’s Pushpanjali Medical Centre and Max Superspeciality Hospital.

    Manoj Bajpayee on Thursday morning lost his mother Geeta Devi to prolonged illness. His 80-year-old mother breathed her last at 8:30 am in Delhi’s Pushpanjali Medical Centre and Max Superspeciality Hospital. She was not keeping well for the past 20 days. So far, the actor has not issued any official statement about the sad demise of his loving mother. Last year, Manoj lost his father RK Bajpayee. He was 83.

    As the news broke, producer Ashoke Pandit mourned Bajpayee’s loss. He tweeted, “Our heartfelt condolences to you and your entire family @BajpayeeManoj on the sad demise of your Aadarniya mother.”According to the reports, Bajpayee used to come to meet her mother at the hospital. He took time out from his shooting and inquired about his mother’s condition. The actor was very close to his parents and often shared anecdotes about them in interviews. He had once revealed his mother’s teachings that one who does not get success should never be considered a fool.

    At the time of his father’s demise, Bajpyee took to his Twitter and thanked all those who checked in on him and sent their love to him during this tough time. He also spoke about how his father supported him to fulfil his dream of becoming an actor. “Thank you all for sending prayers and love on the sad demise of my father who was the sole reason and support for me to venture on such a difficult journey which got me everything that I dreamt of!! Eternally grateful to you all," he had written.

    Meanwhile, on the work front, Bajpayee recently shared the first-look poster of his upcoming movie, Bandaa . “Ek #Bandaa Hai...Jo sach ke liye ladta hai. A story of a lawyer who fought for truth & justice against all odds. Presenting #Bandaa story of man who never gave up! An honour to essay this role!” he tweeted a day ago.
