Meri Patni Ka Remake: Arjun Kapoor to recreate Govinda's 90s humour with Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh

Arjun Kapoor is gearing up for his upcoming film The Ladykiller alongside Bhumi Pednekar . For those who are super excited to witness this fresh pairing onscreen, here is another treat for you. After this film, reportedly Arjun and Bhumi might reunite for another project.

Yes, you heard that right! Arjun Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar will reportedly be reuniting for the film, Meri Patni Ka Remake . According to a news report in ETimes, the movie will be directed by Mudassar Aziz. Not only this but the movie will also be starring Rakul Preet Singh who was seen opposite Arjun in the movie, Sardar Ka Grandson.

The news report furthermore added that Meri Patni Ka Remake’s humor might remind the audience of Govinda ’s comedy flicks of the 90s. Director Mudassar Aziz is keen to bring the trio of Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh under one roof for the film. The shooting for the same will begin in September this year.

Meanwhile, talking about Ladykiller, the movie has been helmed by Ajay Bahl. The movie is touted to be a dark romantic thriller. Sharing the first look of the film in October last year, Arjun stated, “Isme Thrill hai. Romance Hai. Emotion Hai. Suspense Hai. Presenting to you, #TheLadykiller. Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor will soon be seen in the crime thriller flick, Ek Villain Returns. The movie has been directed by Mohit Suri and also stars John Abraham, Disha Patani , and Tara Sutaria . Recently, in a statement, Arjun had spoken about his physical transformation for the movie against all adversities. The actor had said, “I’m thrilled with the love that I have got for Ek Villain 2 trailer. Honestly, it has been a long road for me to ensure that I achieve a transformation that I’m proud of. It has been a real struggle because of my health issues but I thank everyone for their encouragement. I’m proud of myself for staying put, for putting in the long hours at the gym, for eating right every day and for having the mental strength to put my health as a priority.”
