The Mohanlal - Jeethu Jospeh combo has produced some of the biggest hits in the Malayalam movie industry in the past decade.

The most recent is The 12th Man, in which Mohanlal played the role of a police officer investigating a murder at a resort.

But one movie that has been a major topic among fans is the movie Ram, in which Mohanlal will be sharing the screen with Trisha for the first time.

The movie which began production in January of 2020 had to be put on hold due to the pandemic, as there were several scenes meant o to be shot in London.

There were even rumors that the movie had been shelved but these rumors are thankfully not two as director Jeethu Joseph revealed that the movie will resume production soon and will be a two-parter.

He also said that the movie will be a realistic mass entertainer, Mohanlal will be playing the role of IAS officer Ram Mohan and Trisha will be playing the role of his wife Dr. Vineetha.

This will be Trisha's second Malayalam movie

Jeethu Joseph took to social media to update fans about the project.

"I have been getting calls and messages asking whether I have shelved my Mohanlal movie 'RAM' and planning another project. We had to stop the work of 'RAM' due to the spread of the COVID-19 Virus, but it will resume shoot once the virus threat is down in the UK and Uzbekistan. Since Kerala is one of the few places in the world where Corona has been controlled effectively, it is likely to start the shoot early here."

Joining Mohanlal and Trisha the rest of the cast includes Indrajith Sukumaran, Sai Kumar, Siddique, Adil Hussain , Durga Krishna, Suresh Chandra Menon, and Leona Lishoy

Ram will finish production by the end of 2022.
