Ms Marvel: Amitabh Bachchan reacts to his iconic song from Don playing in the recent episode of the show

Amitabh Bachchan reacted to a track from his cult 1978 film Don playing in the popular Marvel show, Ms. Marvel in one of its latest episodes. The superstar quoted a tweet from a fan who observed the same while his son was watching the superhero series. The song in question was the famous dance number ‘Yeh Mera Dil ’ from the movie that was picturized on Big B and Helen .

Talking about the same, the fan had shared a collage of the Ms Marvel poster and a poster of Amitabh Bachchan’s Don. He had stated, “This afternoon I was working & I felt like I heard the music of yeh mera dil from Don, for a min felt like I maybe dreaming. But when the song sound came again I stepped down to find that my 6 yr old is watching Miss Marvel which had the song in ep3 @SrBachchan is everywhere.”

Sharing the tweet, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Wow.” For the unversed, the sequence from the series is from the current storyline where the female protagonist Kamala Khan’s brother is getting married and all the family members do a fun dance performance on the occasion. Not only ‘Yeh Mera Dil’ from Don but the episode also featured other popular Bollywood dance numbers. This included the songs ‘Joote Do Paise Lo’ from Hum Apke Hai Kon (1994) and the title track of the Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukerji starrer Dil Bole Hadippa (2009). The show Ms Marvel is about a young girl of Pakistani descent who gets superpowers and soon learns how to put them to use. The series has many references from the Indian pop culture wherein the female protagonist is also shown to be a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan .

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is gearing up for the release of his movie Brahmastra . The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. It has been directed by Ayan Mukerji .
