Actor Naga Chaitanya , who is one of the biggest heartthrobs of the South film industry, is all set to make his big Bollywood debut this year. He will be seen in an extended cameo in Advait Chandan’s Laal Singh Chaddha , alongside Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan, the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor Khan and the delightful Mona Singh. While Aamir is portraying the titular role, Chaitanya will be seen as his army friend Balaraju Bodi aka Bala. Fans are quite excited to see him in his very first Hindi film.

Recently in an interview Chay revealed that he does want to explore Bollywood but right now he wants to see if the audiences will accept him after Laal Singh Chaddha. Well, the actor is currently in Mumbai for the promotions of the much awaited comedy drama. Last night, he was snapped outside ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s office. His photos have left netizens wondering if he is in talks for a lead role in the director’s next. Some are even hoping that it’s a remake of Devdas !

Why Devdas? Well, Bhansali directed Shah Rukh Khan in the 2002 cult classic, which was the third Hindi remake of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s Bengali novel. But the 1953 Telugu film Devadasu, adapted from the same novel, was headlined by Chaitanya’s grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Which is why fans feel it would be the perfect story for Bhansali and Chay to collaborate on. Well, let’s see if fans are able to manifest this project!

Meanwhile, we are eagerly waiting to see Chay as Bala in Laal Singh Chaddha on 11th August.
