The day has finally come. The most prestigious 70th National Awards Ceremony 2024 has finally begun. The mega event, which is expected to be attended by the who’s who of the entertainment arena, is being held in the national capital of New Delhi. The said event is in recognition of the exceptional work that the award recipients have done in their respective careers.

One of the earliest to arrive for the grand event were the awesome twosome filmmakers Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji. Both were seen smiling and they had every reason to smile. While Karan Johar was looking dapper like never before in his velvet kurta that he had matched with white pants, there was Ayan who too was looking his best.

The duo of Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji were two of the many names which went behind the making of the exceptional and path breaking film Brahmastra, which starred an array of stars including Ranbir Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Mouni Roy Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Amitabh Bachchan in the leading roles.

The film Brahmastra went onto the following awards - Best Male Playback Singer won by Arijit Singh for the track Kesariya, Best Film in AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects Gaming and Comic), and also the Best VFX Film

On his part, a visibly elated Karan Johar said, "I’m truly honoured and humbled to be here. I can’t take credit for the special VFX and all as it’s Ayan Mukerji’s vision and effort. This project is his brainchild, and I’m simply here to support my team and stand by them with gratitude."

An extremely humble Karan Johar added, “I can't take any credit for the special effects, the VFX component. Brahmastra is entirely Ayan Mukerji's brainchild. It's his baby and his vision. He has created this whole world. I am here just to clap loudly, support them and, of course, very humbly accept the honour. But, it's really him."

As for the film’s announcement, it had been done by a jury which comprised of Rahul Rawail, (Chairperson of the Feature Film Jury), Nila Madhab Panda, (Chairperson of the Non-Feature Film Jury), and also Gangadhar Mudalair (Chairperson of the Best Writing on the Cinema Jury).
