Neetu Kapoor is gearing up for her upcoming family entertainer Jugjugg Jeeyo which also stars Anil Kapoor , Varun Dhawan , and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. In a recent media interaction, the veteran actress admitted that she sought her son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter-in-law Alia Bhatt ’s advice before giving a nod to the film which is her comeback after many years. Apart from that, she also revealed that she was in a very bad state of mind when she was offered the movie.

When she was quipped by NDTV on whether she took anyone’s input after producer Karan Johar offered her Jugjugg Jeeyo, Neetu Kapoor was quick to say that she took Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s advice. The Amar Akbar Anthony actress said, “My family usually asks me. Like a second opinion, but not always. So whenever they have a doubt, they'll give me the script and I will go through it. But I did share it with both of them - Alia and Ranbir.” Her co-star Varun Dhawan who was also present at the interview further asked her if she had also shared the script with her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.

On this, Neetu Kapoor had an epic reaction. The Khel Khel Mein actress said, “Riddhima has no clue. For her, whatever mom does is the best." She then went on to say how she was in a very bad state while mourning for her late husband Rishi Kapoor when Karan Johar and director Raj Mehta had offered her Jugjugg Jeeyo. However, the actress added that she said yes to the film as she was very impressed with its script.

Neetu Kapoor said, “I was going through a very bad state at the time. Karan and Ranbir were at home and my son said that I should start working. Karan said, "Can I come tomorrow with a script?" Just a day after that he and Raj came. The script was so good. Even in that state of mind, what I was going through, I was stunned at how well it was written. The scenes were beautiful, the dialogues were so powerful, I said I'm doing it. It was so lovely. It's the script that draws you, everybody was drawn towards the script." Talking about the movie, it also stars Prajakta Koli and Maniesh Paul in pivotal roles and is slated to release on June 24.
