Nushrratt Bharuccha is a talented actor who has been a part of the industry for over 15 years. However, most of the characters she got to play were either of the love interest, or of a spoiled girlfriend who has an ulterior motive. Take Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Dream Girl , for example. Well, 2021 has been fruitful for the beauty because she finally got a chance to prove her versatility with films like Ajeeb Daastaans and Chhorii. Nushrratt proved that she can successfully headline a project and left us eagerly waiting for her exciting line up of films.

In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, the actress opened up about her upcoming films Janhit Mein Jaari , helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa , and Ram Setu , co-starring Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez. Nushrratt shared, “I am doing Janhit Mein Jaari, which is another female-oriented film. It gives out a strong social message through humour. Then there’s Ram Setu. I’m really proud of it. It’s an important film and I’m happy to be part of it. Post that, the audience will get to see me in another female-centric film. If a story chooses me and if it’s meant to happen, it will happen.”

She went on to add, “I can finally and very confidently say that the industry has put their faith in me. It was a little bit of a fight and trial and error in the beginning. (So far) I largely did comedy films with unreal premises, where I played over-the-top characters. For people, seeing me in those happy-go-lucky roles was easy to accept and then forget.” Nushrratt further explained that makers are now investing more time in an actor to help them blend into a storyline, and she is glad that the industry has begun to give her the chance to do the same.

Other than Ram Setu and Janhit Mein Jaari, Nushrratt also has Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s romantic film Hurdang in her kitty. Along with the actress, the film stars Sunny Kaushal and Vijay Varma in the lead.
