Pathaan: Anurag Kashyap reviews Shah Rukh Khan starrer spy drama, says 'itna khatarnak action, dil khush ho gaya'

Shah Rukh Khan ’s comeback movie Pathaan has hit the theatres today i.e January 25 and his fan are going gaga over his action avatar. Not only fans but Anurag Kashyap has also heaped praises on the superstar’s look and action sequences in Siddharth Anand’s spy drama. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in pivotal roles.

While interacting with the media, Anurag said, "Shah Rukh Khan itna haseen, itna sundar pehle kabhi laga nahi. Toh hum toh usko dekhne aaye the aur dil khush ho gaya. Aur itna khatarnaka action hai, Shah Rukh ke liye pehli baar aisa role hai. Mujhe nahi lagta unhone is tarah ka action pehle kiya hai,”(Shah Rukh has never looked so handsome, so beautiful. We had come to see him and he won our hearts. So dangerous action, I think Shah Rukh had not done such a role and action before).

Besides him, celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu among others shared their excitement for the movie. While Alia took to Instagram and wrote, "Tbh never been this excited for a film.. Go Pathaan.” Anil tweeted, "#Pathaan is not just a film, it’s an emotion!! @iamsrk @deepikapadukone Looking forward to seeing #SiddharthAnand create magic on the big screen!" On the other hand, Samantha called it a ‘day of Pathaan’.

Pathaan follows the story of an exiled RAW field operative who is assigned to take down a private terrorist organization that is planning a nuclear attack on India. The recently released movie is the fourth installment in the Yash Raj Films Spy Universe after Hrithik Roshan starrer War, Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger, and Tiger Zinda Hai. The film also marks Shah Rukh’s comeback to the silver screen after a hiatus of four years. The superstar was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero alongside Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
