Ever since actor Priyanka Chopra welcomed her first child with her husband Nick Jonas, she has been keeping a low profile about her baby. The couple welcomed a baby girl via surrogacy and has not yet shared any pictures or details about the newborn since. Recently, the Quantico actor for the first time spoke about her parenthood experience and thoughts about upbringing her daughter.

During an interaction with YouTuber Lily Singh at the launch of her new book titled 'Be a Triangle: How I Went from Being Lost to Getting My Life ...', Priyanka said, “As a new parent right now, I keep thinking about that I will never be imposing my desires, fears, my upbringing on to my child. I have always believed that children come through you, not from you. There is no belief like this is my child and I will shape everything. They come through you to find and build their own life. Recognising that really helped me, my parents were very non-judgmental in a certain way."

Priyanka has often shared that her parents Dr. Madhu Chopra and the late Dr. Ashok Chopra have given her a progressive upbringing.
