Pushpa 3 The Rampage: Allu Arjun-starrer to begin shooting in 2028 or 2029 only? Here’s what we know

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, one of the most anticipated films of the year, was released in theatres on December 5. The action thriller film is the sequel to the 2021-released film Pushpa: The Rise which was a huge box office success. Now, the makers have hinted at the making of Pushpa 3, adding buzz for the upcoming film among audiences. But much to the fans' disappointment, reports reveal that the shooting for the third part of the franchise, expected to be titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage, will commence in 2028 or 2029.

Pushpa 3 in the making

The GreatAndhra report revealed that Allu Arjun has to complete two projects before returning to the Pushpa franchise. While Allu Arjun will be busy shooting for his collaboration with Trivikram, Pushpa director Sukumar is all set to work on his next with superstar Ram Charan. Hence, the production of Pushpa 3 is expected to take four or five years and the shooting will begin in 2028 or 2029, the report added.

The film’s dialogue writer Srikanth Vissa spoke to Pinkvilla and shared updates on the third part, saying that it will be bigger and better. “We will be including more characters in the whole narrative with the 3rd part. When it comes to the villains for the 3rd installment, it hasn’t been confirmed to be played by anyone yet. We had approached some big Bollywood actors to enact the role, but no confirmation has been made,” he said.

Vijay Deverakonda in Pushpa 3?

Vijay Deverakonda is reported to feature alongside Allu Arjun in the third instalment of the Pushpa franchise. While wishing Sukumar on his birthday earlier, Vijay Deverakonda mentioned the third part, leading to speculations about his collaboration with the director on Pushpa 3. His post read, "Happy Birthday @aryasukku sir - I wish you the best of health & happiness! Cannot wait to start the film with you :) love and hugs. 2021 - The Rise. 2022 - The Rule. 2023 - The Rampage (sic)."
