Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan are an estranged pair in Bollywood who have earned the respect of their followers for how they did not let their divorce come in between the friendship and respect they have for one another. The couple parted ways in 2014, after 14 years of marriage much to the shock of everyone.

They however, continued to support each other as friends and co-parents and are often spotted together with each other’s families. Hrithik’s father was asked to comment on the couple’s dignified relationship divorce and the filmmaker couldn’t be more proud of how his 48-year-old son conducted himself even after parting ways with Sussanne.

Rakesh revealed how after Hrithik and Sussanne’s divorce was finalized in court, the actor didn’t turn his back on Sussanne or refuse to be courteous. He told Times of India in an interview, “Right after their divorce in court, Hrithik stepped out and opened the door of the car for Sussanne. That shows his character. Nobody can teach you these things. It comes from within. He regards women and everyone else with respect. Like he touches my feet. And so do my grandchildren Hridaan and Hrehaan. You do these things instinctively.”

Hrithik recently attended his ex father-in-law Sanjay Khan’s birthday bash with Sussanne Khan. The ex-couple also made headlines in 2020 for their decision to live together for the duration of the first lockdown to co-parents their kids.

Rakesh also spoke highly of how Hrithik is a devoted father and spends all his free time with his kids. He revealed how the Bollywood star’s holidays are reserved to spend time with his sons and how he is encouraging them to try everything from learning music to tying gymnastics. The Krrish director said, “The love and attention that he showers on his boys makes me wish I could have given so much time to my children too. He’s a much much better father than me.”
