Ranbir Kapoor- Alia Bhatt pregnancy: Here are reasons why couple embracing parenthood should not be surprising

The news of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor soon becoming parents has taken the internet into meltdown. After the actress announced that she will soon embrace motherhood with a mushy social media post, netizens cannot hold their excitement and fed on every piece of information related to it. However, it should be not surprising as the couple has on several occasions in the past hinted at their pregnancy.

It is believed that last month when a video of Ranbir cradling a baby on set was doing rounds on the internet. Alia gave a major hint with her reaction on the same. In the video, Ranbir can be seen wearing a grey T-shirt and blue-red cap holding the baby in his arms. He is also seen planting a kiss on the baby’s head.

Soon after, Alia re-shared the video and caption it as: “Okay! This video is a full vibe," and dropped a crying emoji. Even a Twitter fan recently pointed out that the Ranbir is wearing the same T-shirt and a cap as in Alia’s pregnancy announcement photo as he sat beside her during ultrasonography. Going by it, it is being said that the two were all set to announce their pregnancy in May.

Another video of Ranbir from the trailer launch of his upcoming film Shamshera is doing rounds where the actor proclaims that he wants to make his family. During the press conference, he was heard saying, “nahi nahi abhi mujhe bahut kaam karna hai sir. Abhi mujhe family banani hai, unke liye kaam karna hai. Pehle main khud ke liye kaam kar raha tha. Abhi main bahut kaam karunga. (No-no, I have to work a lot now. I want to make my family and work for them. Earlier I used to work for myself. Now I will work a lot.). He gave another major hint during an interview where he spoke about getting a tattoo of her children’s name. Speaking to Mashable, the dad-to-be said, “I might get a number 8 tattooed or my going to be children’s name.”

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Alia Bhatt is currently shooting for her debut Hollywood film, Heart of Stone in the UK. She is also awaiting the release of Brahmastra , the first film with her husband Ranbir Kapoor. Directed by Ayan Mukerji , the fantasy drama is set to release on September 9. On the other hand, Ranbir is currently busy promoting Shamshera which is set to hit theatres on July 22.
