Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are the new Mr. and Mrs. of Bollywood. After sharing some dreamy photos from their home wedding at Vaastu the couple made their first public appearance post marriage to greet the media stationed outside their home.

A large crowd gathered outside Vaastu to catch up on the ongoings of this big Bollywood wedding for the past two days. The security outside the venue was increased manifold as photographers ran around to capture first glimpses of the couple as well as the few guests who were invited for this intimate affair.

Sweets were distributed to the media after the wedding concluded at home and the wait was only to see Alia and Ranbir walk out of the gates. Well, they did not disappoint as they walked hand in hand towards a hooting lot of photographers.

Dressed in their off white Sabyasachi wedding ensembles Mr. and Mrs. Kapoor looked breath taking with wide smiles fixed on their faces. The waved and also folded their hands in thank you as congratulatory messages came from all around.

In her first post as Mrs. Kapoor, Alia beautifully summed up her wedding day and her relationship of five years with Ranbir. She wrote, “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot - the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married. With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special. Love, Ranbir and Alia ✨♥️”

The couple tied the knot in a traditional Punjabi wedding this afternoon.
