Ranbir Kapoor has THIS reason behind his weird fascination with number 8 and it is not Alia Bhatt

Actor Ranbir Kapoor has a ‘weird’ fascination for the number 8 in his life. From his football jersey to his wife Alia’s wedding jewellery, the actor has often associated himself with said number. He recently revealed its significance saying that it is his mother’s birthday, the 8th of July, and also because of the way it looks.

 “I have some weird fascination with the number 8, because it is my mother’s birthday–8th July, and I also like the whole way the number looks because it is the infinity sign if you look at it horizontally, ”said Ranbir at the press conference in Dubai on Saturday.

Ranbir got married to his longtime girlfriend and actress Alia Bhatt in an intimate ceremony in his Mumbai apartment Vastu. The wedding festivities were attended by their family members and close friends including Karan Johar , Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Ayan Mukerji among others.

In the wedding pictures, we also got a glimpse of Alia’s mangalsutra which also had the number 8. She wore a teardrop diamond pendant with the infinity sign.

Meanwhile, Ranbir is part of film producer and sports entrepreneur Bunty Walia’s All Stars Football Club(ASFC). He along with other celebrities including Kartik Aaryan , Abhishek Bachchan , and Shoojit Sircar among others jetted off to Dubai to play the Celebrity Football Cup 2022 match with Emirates United. While Abhishek is the captain, Ranbir is the vice- Captain of ASFC.

On the film front, Ranbir has some interesting projects including Ayan Mukerji’s sci-fi titled Brahmastra . He will be seen sharing the screen space with his wife Alia for the first time. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy and is slated to release on September 9. Besides it, he also has Yash Raj’s Shamshera co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor, Luv Ranjan’s romantic comedy alongside Shraddha Kapoor , and Sandeep Reddy Vanga ’s Animal co-starring Rashmika Mandanna .
