Ranbir Kapoor on Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar being his last rom-com: 'Just insecure that I don't run out of a personality'

A while ago, Ranbir Kapoor has announced that he will no longer be part of romantic comedies in the future. Well, as the actor recently unveiled the trailer of the upcoming last rom-com of his career, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar , he revealed the real reason behind his decision. Citing his old films in the genre like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani, and Anjaani Anjaani among others, he said that he is insecure about losing his onscreen personality.

While interacting with media at the trailer launch of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, one of the reporters asked Ranbir why he is putting a full stop to the movie genre. In response, he said, “Sometimes what happens is that actor has limited faces and a personality. And sometimes you run out of them you need characters. Rom-com is the hardest genre. So if you give me a character that of Sanju or Rockstar, you are hiding behind the character, you have certain paraphilias around you to work with. But these parts are really hard.”
