Ranbir Kapoor talks about his first wife and it is not Alia Bhatt; says ‘there was a girl..’

In April this year, love birds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the nuptial knot in an intimate yet grand ceremony at the former’s Bandra home. They reportedly fell in love while shooting for their film Brahmastra and after dating for 5 long years the two finally decided to take the plunge. They are very happy together and recently Ranbir even stated that if marriage is dal chawal for the rest of your life, then Alia is the tadka to his dal chawal.

But did you know Alia is not the first girl to marry Ranbir? In a recent interview with Mashable, the actor revealed a crazy fan encounter he had many years ago. Ranbir shared, “There was a girl and I never met her. But my watchman told me that she came with a pundit and she married my gate. There was some ‘teeka’ on the gate and some flowers too. So, that’s quite crazy.” He went on to add, “I haven’t met my first wife yet, so I look forward to meeting you at some point.” We are sure Alia is also eager to meet her!

On the work front, Ranbir is all set to make his big comeback to the silver screens next month, four years after his last release Sanju. Titled Shamshera, the YRF backed period action film also stars Vaani Kapoor in the lead with Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist. Other than this project and Brahmastra, Ranbir also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga ’s Animal and Luv Ranjan’s untitled next opposite Shraddha Kapoor in the pipeline.
