His untimely demise left his fans heartbroken whereas his wife Neetu Kapoor and their children Ranbir and Riddhima were devastated. They became pillars of strength for each other but not one day went by when they did not remember the late actor. Even when Neetu travelled to Chandigarh to begin shooting for her comeback film Jug Jugg Jeeyo , the veteran actress wrote a heartwarming note for her husband, which read: “While Kapoor Sahab, you aren’t here holding my hand, I know you are with me .. #RnR thank you for encouraging me to do this.”

Well, in a recent chat with Film Companion, Ranbir opened up about his mother’s comeback. The actor shared that after what they went through, his sister and he realized how much his mother had sacrificed to build the family. Ranbir explained that when she got married at 21, she gave up her career. However, he felt that now it was time for her to go back to acting. Ranbir shared, “So, we convinced her. She was low on confidence, but then Karan Johar offered her Jug Jugg Jeeyo and she really enjoyed the process. Slowly, she’s getting the acting bug back. She did acting classes, she did diction classes. She sat with me on her scenes saying, “This is a monologue that I’m doing, how should I do it?” Just to be busy is so important as a human being, and it also helps in healing.”

Ranbir shared that he does not know what his mother went through because she was his father’s rock during everything that happened and he has not seen such selflessness anywhere else. He went on to add, “I don’t know if she’s healed, I don’t know if she needs therapy or whether she needs to speak it out. But maybe through her work, through meeting people, she can. I’m really happy that she’s doing this.”

Also starring Anil Kapoor , Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani , Jug Jugg Jeeyo will release on 24th June. While audiences are eagerly waiting for the film to arrive in theatres, fans have already welcomed Neetu with open arms as a judge on Dance Deewane Junior.
