Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram wedding: First glimpse of bride and bridegroom in traditional Manipuri ensembles is out

    Like a Manipuri groom, Randeep wore a white cotton dhoti, a kurta and a kokyet (turban) and wrapped a plain white shawl. As for Lin, she looked pretty in a Potloi.

    The much-awaited first glimpse of Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram’s traditional wedding is finally out. The couple decked in traditional Manipuri outfits was seen surrounded by family and relatives as the Meitei rituals were performed. Like a Manipuri groom, Randeep wore a white cotton dhoti, a kurta and a kokyet (turban) and wrapped a plain white shawl. As for Lin, she looked pretty in a Potloi(which is a cylindrical skirt made up of thick fabric and hard bamboo) and adorned herself with jewels.

    Randeep and Lin tied the knot at Chumthang Sanapung situated at Langthabal in Imphal West. Their wedding venue has a dreamy setup in shades of white with ample seating arrangement. Prior to their wedding, the couple visited the Ipudhou Marjing Khubamlen and Shri Shri Govindajee temples in Imphal to seek blessings. After seeking blessings, they also visited a relief camp in Moirang and Loktak Lake.

    Earlier, Randeep made an official announcement of his wedding on his Instagram handle. He shared a note that read, “Taking a leaf out of Mahabharata where Arjuna married Manipuri Warrior Princess Chitrangada, We are getting married with the blessings from our families and friends. We are filled with immense joy to share that our marriage will take place on the 29th Of November 2023, Imphal, Manipur followed by a reception in Mumbai. As we set to embark on this journey, we seek your blessings and love for this union of cultures, for which we are forever indebted and grateful. In love and light, Lin and Randeep (sic)."

    Meanwhile, Randeep and Lin were dating for quite some time before they decided to get married. On the work front, Lin is known for her roles in films like Mary Kom and Rangoon. She was recently seen in Kareena Kapoor starrer Jaane Jaan. As for Randeep, the actor will next be seen in Swatantra Veer Savarkar.
