Ranveer Singh’s nude pics to now put international magazine out of circulation?

That Ranveer Singh created such a huge stir with his nude photoshoot for Paper magazine is known to all. With some praising the boldness of the actor to some criticizing him for alleged vulgarity to numerous memes on him, Ranveer grabbed all the headlines after the act. However, the pictures also sparked some controversy after an FIR was lodged against Ranveer by Chembur Police, and now a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) has been filed seizing the circulation of the magazine which has Ranveer’s pictures on its cover page.

According to a news report in Zoom, a PIL against the magazine consisting of Ranveer Singh’s pictures was filed in Calcutta High Court. The Public Interest Litigation requested the Court to order the West Bengal government and the other authorities to seize all the printed copies of the magazine which were published on July 23, 2022. Advocate Nazia Ilahi Khan filed the litigation stating that the pictures of the Befikre actor are ‘obscene as per the opinion of the public at large.’

The report further stated that the PIL also alleged that Ranveer Singh’s nude pictures on the cover page of the magazine ‘deprave the mind of the public at large in West Bengal, especially of minors’ and hence, should not be circulated in the state. Furthermore, the petition asked the block the website of the magazine in West Bengal. Before this, an FIR was filed against Ranveer that claimed that his photoshoot pictures allegedly outraged the modesty of women.

The Chembur Police went on to file an FIR against Ranveer Singh for sharing the pictures on his social media account. However, it seems that the 83 actor is unfazed by the controversies surrounding his photoshoot. In an interview with the same magazine, the actor had said, “It’s so easy for me to be physically naked, but in some of my performances I’ve been damn fucking naked. You can see my f*** soul. How naked is that? That’s being naked. Actually, I can be naked in front of a thousand people, I don’t give a shit. It’s just that they get uncomfortable.”
