    Two years ago today, Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last and left a void in all our lives. He was a passionate actor, a charismatic human being and one of the most hard-working souls in the film industry. Till date there are many of us who get emotional when we think about him or come across an unseen video of the hero. This is because in his career spanning over 12 long years, Sushant touched our heart with several characters-- he became a household name as Manav with Pavitra Rishta, went on to make a smashing Bollywood debut with Kai Po Che ! and emerged as a star with hits like M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story and Chhichhore .

    But there were also many times that he won us over off-screen and touched our soul, with his gentle and charming personality. Some behind the scene clips from movie sets, some unseen gems shared by his family and friends. Today, on his second death anniversary, let’s remember Sushant for the spectacular man he was.

    1. When Sushant’s sister Shweta shared a clip of him singing bhajans:

    Along with the video, in which the actor sang passionately into the mic, Shweta shared, “During childhood whenever there will be no electricity in the house, all our family members will sit around with musical instruments singing Bhajans immersed in Bhakti with tears flowing from our eyes. This video of Bhai reminds me of those times.”

    2. When Sushant saved Kriti Sanon from having an embarrassing moment:

    During the trailer launch of their 2017 film Raabta , the actor proved that chivalry is not dead. He got up from his seat and went to stand in front of his co-star Kriti Sanon, who was wearing a short skirt. The actress looked great but seemed a little uncomfortable before she sat down on the revolving stool. Sushant saved her from a wardrobe malfunction in front of the cameras.

    3. When he danced with his Dil Bechara co-star Swastika Mukherjee :

    Along with this unseen clip of Sushant shaking a leg with her behind the scenes, Dil Bechara actress Swastika Mukherjee had shared, “HE danced with #kizie and then HE danced with me.. I’d like to remember Sushant like this. Always. Simple. Fun loving. Jovial. Keep dancing with the stars, boy. Love. Thank you, Mukesh @castingchhabra for capturing this beautiful moment. I will cherish this forever.”

    4. When Sushant mimicked Dev Anand during make-up:

    Sushant’s Chhichhore director Nitesh Tiwari had shared a cute video of the actor singing Pal Bhar Ke Liye Koi Hume Pyaar Kar Le from the film Johny Mera Naam. In this priceless clip, he perfectly mimicked superstar Dev Anand while lip-syncing to his song. In the caption below, the filmmaker had written: “When you are having fun at work it shows :) @sushantsinghrajput @shraddhakapoor.”

    5. When Sushant gave fans a tour of his house:

    “Mujhe pata nahi star bante kaise hain, aur agar ban jaayein toh usko bacha ke kaise rakhte hain. Toh main sochta nahi, main sirf stars dekhta hun telescope se,” Sushant had shared as he welcomed us on a home tour. He described his living room as a ‘time travelling room’, shared his love for the color yellow and introduced us to his dog Fudge. Sushant revealed that he initially wanted to become an astronaut, later talked himself into becoming a pilot, then an engineer. But in the end he decided to become an actor, so he could be everything on screen.

    Well, he did manage to become the brightest star. Sushant may have bid the world a final adieu, but he will live on in our hearts till the end of time.
