Runway 34 Vs Heropanti 2 box office: Ajay Devgn starrer shows a growth but Tiger Shroff's film falls flat

The films Runway 34 and Heropanti 2 locked horns at the box office on April 29. While all eyes were on the movies to see whether they will be able to give a tough competition to Yash ’s KGF : Chapter 2, unfortunately, they both failed to do so. On the fourth day of the release, while Ajay’s film is still showing slight growth, Tiger’s actioner has fallen flat with its collections.

Talking about the same, according to a news report in Bollywood Hungama , Runway 34 has picked up a good pace and has garnered Rs 3 crore on Monday (May 2). Earlier, Runway 34 had shown a 50% growth on Sunday (May 1). The movie had garnered Rs 7.50 crore on its third day. Now the total collection amounts to around Rs 16.75 crore to Rs 17.75 crore. The positive reviews surrounding the aviation thriller film must have flocked the audience into the theatres.

On the other hand, Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2 is showing no signs of improvement. The movie has now furthermore shown a disappointing drop on its 4th day (May 2). It has dropped by 85% on Monday and not even the Eid holiday is able to do wonders for the movie. The total collection of the movie now stands at around Rs 17 crore. The film must have only collected Rs 2 or 3 crore on its third day (May 1). The movie has also garnered some negative reviews from the masses and the critics which must have further gone downhill for it.

Both the movies have overall failed to deliver a satisfying performance at the box office despite sufficient buzz around them. They have faced tough competition from Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 and clearly failed to withstand it. While Runway 34 also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh , Heropanti 2 stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles.
