Runway 34 vs Heropanti 2 box office collection: Ajay Devgn’s film and Tiger Shroff starrer falls flat against Doctor Strange

The Ajay Devgn starrer Runway 34 and Tiger Shroff’s action flick Heropanti 2 had released on April 29 and despite a sufficient buzz, failed to do wonders at the box office. Now, things are looking further disappointing for the two movies as it faces tough competition from Yash ’s KGF : Chapter 2 and MCU’s Doctor Strange In Multiverse Of Madness. This has resulted in no growth for the films and the verdict might be a box office flop.

Talking about Runway 34, the movie had gone on to earn just Rs 24.36 crore in totality. After its eight-day collection, Ajay Devgn’s movie is slowly inching towards the Rs 25 crore mark. But overall, this number is also very disappointing considering the good response to the movie and the ambitious concept of an aviation thriller flick.

The collection of Runway 34 had gone down on its 7th day and the movie had only amassed Rs 1.70 crore. Apart from Ajay Devgn, the movie stars Amitabh Bachchan , Rakul Preet Singh , Boman Irani , Akanksha Singh, and Angira Dhar in the lead roles. It has also been helmed by Ajay Devgn. The movie is based on the real-life incident of a Jet Airways flight that had made an emergency landing owing to bad weather while traveling from Doha to Kochi.

Talking about Heropanti 2, the Tiger Shroff starrer is witnessing a further disappointing run at the box office. The movie had only earned Rs 21 crore at the box office on its 7th day. The action film is now gradually going towards the Rs 22 crore mark but is facing a tough time while competing with KGF: Chapter 2 and Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

Heropanti 2 stars Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria , and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the main roles. The movie has been directed by Ahmed Khan and is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is a sequel to the 2014 film, Heropanti which had also marked Tiger and Kriti Sanon ’s debut in the Hindi film industry.
