‘Sab salman banenge’: Kriti trolled for sitting on the floor at Adipurush trailer launch; netizens call it publicity

The much awaited trailer of Adipurush was finally released yesterday at a grand launch in the city. While lead star Prabhas kept it casual in blue, his beautiful co-star Kriti Sanon looked ethereal in a traditional saree. The two are joining hands for the first time ever in this Om Raut directorial as Lord Rama aka Raghava and Janaki. Well, in a viral video from the launch event, Kriti shared that she has tried to portray the role of Maa Sita with utter faith and love, and has given the film her 200 per cent.

However, she added that Rama and Sita are almighty and she is just a human being. So in case she made a mistake, she hopes all is forgiven. Well, in the comment section below, many lauded Kriti for being honest and sweet. But there were some who claimed that South actresses such as Nayanthara or Anushka Shetty would have been better casting for the role of Sita. One troll even write: “Kuch zyada meetha ho gaya...😂” In another viral video from the launch event, Kriti decided to sit on the ground of the theatre instead of on her seat to watch the trailer. Sadly, this is being called a publicity stunt by several netizens.

In the comment section below, one social media user compared her to Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan and wrote: “Ab sab salman khan banenge”, whereas another shared, “Down to earth... ‘But only when cameras are around’”. A third netizen wrote: “Publicity ke liye log kya krte hai”, while another comment read: “She has an upcoming release thts y Itna drama .. their is nothing down to earth in this .. just a fake show ,, another act of promotion for the movie.”

Well, in the trailer, Kriti’s expressions were on point whereas Prabhas and his strong personality looked like a good fit for Raghava’s character. But sadly Saif Ali Khan, who will be seen as Lankesh, only had a blink and miss scene. Also starring Sunny Singh, Adipurush is all set to release on 16th June.
