Salman Khan's 'Main Chala' co-star Pragya Jaiswal talks about getting dropped from Antim, reveals it upset the superstar

Salman Khan and Telugu actress Pragya Jaiswal starred together in the music video Main Chala which has crossed over 12 million views on YouTube in a day. Sung by Guru Randhawa and Iulia Vantur the song came out on Saturday but needless to say that the fans were quite excited by it.

Main Chala was initially a promotional number for the actor’s last release, Antim: The Final Truth . Pragya, in fact was also a part of the film in which Salman played a Sikh cop, playing his love interest, Pragya revealed that she had this song and a few dialogues with Salman in Antim but her part was later chopped off from the move as the makers decided that Salman’s character is better off without a love interest.

While Pragya isn’t one to lament losing out the few scenes she had in the film, the actress told RJ Sidharth Kannan in an interview that she’s glad the song came out. “I am very optimistic person, I believe whatever happens in life it is for the best. This song was my most favorite part of shooting the film. So I knew even if the film doesn’t work out, the song will certainly be released separately. I am just happy that the song is out now.”

The host also asked her if the decision to drop her scenes from the film upset Salman as much as it did her since he is quite possessive about his co-stars. To this Pragya revealed that indeed the actor was quite upset by the fact. “He was equally affected, Sir wasn’t at all happy with this decision. He tried a lot, till the last minute to keep me in the film.”

Keeping in tune with Salman’s Sikh character in the movie, Salman can be seen donning the turn in the music video which has been released. Antim: The Final Truth also starred Aayush Sharma and had arrived in cinemas in November.
