Sardar 2: Sequel to Karthi’s Sardar to be shot in THESE exotic countries

Tamil actor Karthi is part of one of the most talked-about sequels recently, Sardar 2. As fans anticipate exciting updates from the team, the latest reports are that the film is set to roll out soon! Yes, you read that right, the makers of Sardar 2 have begun pre-production work and will officially start shooting very soon. A source close to the team has revealed that almost 40 percent of the filming will take place in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, and the team is currently planning out the schedule to commence shooting. Other key sequences for the film will reportedly be shot in Chennai and Hyderabad.

Sardar 2 to be Karthi’s most expensive film?

Reports also indicate that the producers are scaling up and have allotted a massive budget for the movie. Sardar 2 is slated to be the most expensive film in Karthi's career so far. The sequel to the 2022 blockbuster will be bigger and better.

Sardar 2 will deal with drug trafficking and to raise awareness on how taking drugs negatively affect society. This information, of course, is yet to be confirmed by the makers.

Karthi aiming for a pan-Indian presence with Sardar 2?

Sardar starred several actresses, such as Rajisha Vijayan and Raashii Khanna. For the sequel, the makers are looking at roping in Bollywood actresses to star opposite Karthi, indicating that the actor is trying to make his presence felt at a pan-Indian level. Two Hindi actresses are said to be cast in the film, with an official announcement expected soon.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for the film, replacing G. V. Prakash Kumar, who was the composer for Sardar. George C. Williams, who did the camera work for part one, will be returning for the sequel.

What was Sardar about?

Directed by PS Mithran, the story of Sardar is centred around a disgraced spy (played by Karthi) who returns from exile to stop the launch of a suspicious company that plans to spread toxic water across the country.
