Sathyaraj, Priyadarshan, Nafisa Ali hospitalised after contracting COVID; Arijit Singh, Maanvi Gagroo test positive

    More names were added to the growing list of celebs who have tested positive for COVID. Three of them- Sathyaraj, Nafisa Ali and Priyadarshan have been hospitalised.

    Baahubali's Katappa Sathyaraj, director Priyadarshan, veteran actor Nafisa Ali, playback singer Arijit Singh, "Four More Shots Please!" star Maanvi Gagroo and director Madhur Bhandarkar on Saturday have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Sathyaraj, Priyadarshan and Nafisa Ali have been hospitalised.

    According to a report in India TV, Sathyaraj was hospitalised on Thursday. A source revealed, "He is recovering well. In fact, doctors have told him that he will be discharged in two or three days and that he might have to quarantine himself at home for a week or so after that."

    Director Priyadarshan was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Mumbai. Reports claim that he is doing well.

    Ali, known for starring in movies like " Major Saab", "Life In a Metro", " Yamla Pagla Deewana " and "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3", posted a picture of herself from a Goa hospital on Instagram. "Guess what I have ! A lucky number 7 bed !! High fever and throat congested but doing better with my super medical team in Goa. Hope to be allowed home in a few days for self isolation .#covidpositive" the 64-year-old actor wrote in the caption.

    Singh took to Facebook and wrote that he and his wife, Koel Roy , have tested positive for COVID-19 . "Me and my wife have tested Covid Positive. We are all perfectly fine and have quarantined ourselves," the 34-year-old singer said.

    Gagroo revealed her COVID-19 diagnosis on her Instagram stories. "Thank you everyone for checking in. I have very mild symptoms. Just sleeping a lot. But thank you, thank you," the 36-year-old actor added.

    Earlier in the day, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also tested COVID-19 positive.

    According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai reported 20,927 coronavirus cases and six fatalities on Friday.
