Shahid Kapoor ’s career took a huge leap after he delivered his biggest solo blockbuster Kabir Singh in 2019. The film which left an ever lasting impact on popular culture has definitely made the Bollywood star someone to watch out for. While Shahid didn’t go on a signing spree post Kabir Singh and took his own sweet time in announcing Jersey as his next project, he seems to have considerably hiked his fee per project making him one of the highest paid Bollywood stars today.

After taking a considerable hike for Jersey, Shahid signed filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar ’s next at a whopping price. The Bollywood star according to a Bollywood Hungama report is being paid Rs. 38 crores for the remake of the 2011 French film Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Night).

The report claims that the amount being charged by Shahid for this action thriller apparently titled Bloody Daddy is more than double his fee for Kabir Singh. The actor had previously signed Jersey, which is ready for release in April, at Rs. 31 crores.

For his web series debut in Raj and DK’s upcoming directorial, Shahid is said to have charged upwards of Rs. 40 crores for the first season with a clause seeking a fee hike for the next season if the show takes off.

While the hike in Shahid’s fee is considerable, the actor’s pay cheque is still modest when compared to contemporaries like Ranveer Singh who reportedly takes Rs. 50 crores per film now. Shahid and Ranveer were both paid Rs. 10 crores each for Padmaavat not so long ago.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor is said to taking home a staggering fee of Rs. 70 crores per project. Even Tiger Shroff who charged Rs. 25 to 30 crores per project will take home Rs. 50 crores with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan while he’s being paid Rs. 40 crores for Ganapath . Actor Ajay Devgn charges in the vicinity of Rs. 35 to 40 crores per film but it usually comes with a side of a profit sharing deal.
