Shahid Kapoor talks about sharing the screen with Ananya Panday; calls her a ‘lovely girl’

Actors Shahid Kapoor and Ananya Panday seem to have bonded quite a lot in the past one year. This is because the actress was reportedly in a serious relationship with Shahid’s actor brother Ishaan Khatter . It all started when the two fell head over heels in love while shooting for their 2020 film Khaali Peeli. Ananya began hanging out with her beau’s family and even attended Shahid’s birthday bash earlier this year. But sometime in April, Ishaan and Ananya reportedly parted ways and decided to continue as friends.

Well, recently at IIFA 2022 , Shahid shared the stage with Ananya for a dance performance. In a chat with Bollywood Hungama , when he was asked if the two will ever share the screen together in a film, the actor praised the young star kid but explained that the decision is not in his hands. Shahid was quoted saying, “Ananya is a lovely girl. But you should really be asking this question to the directors and filmmakers. Actors don’t get to choose their co-stars as much people believe they do, at least in this generation.”

Meanwhile on the work front, Shahid was last seen in Jersey as a cricketer. Up next, he has Raj and DK’s crime drama series Farzi and Ali Abbas Zafar 's action film Bloody Daddy in his kitty. Ananya, on the other hand, will be sharing the screen with South sensation Vijay Deverakonda in Puri Jagannadh’s pan Indian film Liger. She also has Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Adarsh Gourav and Siddhant Chaturvedi in her envious line up, and is expected to play a lawyer in Akshay Kumar starrer The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair.
