Shamita Shetty on entering Bigg Boss OTT during Raj Kundra’s controversy: “I was extremely worried about Shilpa”

One of the biggest controversies of 2021 was when Shilpa Shetty ’s husband Raj Kundra was arrested for alleged production and distribution of pornographic content. It was a difficult period for the entire family. Around the same time, Shilpa’s younger sister and actress Shamita Shetty entered the Bigg Boss OTT house as a contestant. Post the reality show, Shamita had opened up about being trolled unnecessarily and had revealed that her family felt it would be better for her to lock herself in the BB house.

The Mohabbatein star had decided that the show must go on and hence didn’t back out of her work commitments. Well in a recent chat with Pinkvilla, after coming out of the Bigg Boss 15 house as the 3rd runner up of the season, Shamita revealed that she was worried about her sister the entire time. The actress was quoted saying, “I feel really sad that I could not be a part of this difficult time with Shilpa. I would have loved to be there with her because I remember when I was in the OTT show I was extremely worried about her, and didn't know what was happening.”

Shamita remembered, “I wanted to know what was happening because we are very close. But we have always emerged stronger with every hurdle, everything that’s thrown at us, and she has also emerged stronger. So I am proud of her.” Even when Shamita’s mother came to Bigg Boss OTT during family week, the actress had asked about her brother-in-law. Well, back in September 2021, Raj returned home on bail after two long months, soon after Shamita came back from Bigg Boss OTT.
