Shamita Shetty on her relationship with beau Raqesh Bapat: ‘We both are very secure people’

During their time in Karan Johar ’s Bigg Boss OTT, actors Shamita Shetty and Raqesh Bapat became good friends and came close to each other. Eventually, they fell in love and even admitted to their feelings in the show. However, they decided to explore the relationship after coming out of the BB house. By the time Bigg Boss 15 came to an end, where Shamita made it to the top 5 again, the two had declared their love on national television. Recently rumors of their break up were doing the rounds, but the air was cleared soon after they were spotted together at an event.

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the actress revealed how these speculations affect her relationship with Raqesh. Shamita was quoted saying, “Unfortunately, my entire relationship has been out there because we were on a public platform for quite some time. We did create a certain amount of fan following, and our fans love to see us together. But yes, it’s [the attention] tough. It puts a lot of pressure on two people in a relationship, because you feel like you are constantly explaining yourself.”

Nevertheless, Shamita and Raqesh have consciously made an effort to not let all the attention affect them or the bond they share. She explained, “A relationship is about two people only. It can’t be about the rest of the world and what they think about you. Luckily, we both are very secure people ..so it doesn’t affect us.” Meanwhile, the happy couple recently left fans gushing with their pictures from the set of an upcoming project. We can’t wait to see them together on-screen again!
