Shark Tank India: Anupam Mittal has learnt from mistakes made in season 1; this is what he doesn’t want a repeat of

The first season of Shark Tank India was a huge success with both contestants and judges becoming the talking point across the country. Judges, in particular, were admired for their razor-sharp criticism and valuable advice to budding entrepreneurs who pitched their business ideas in front of the panel, seeking funds for their venture’s next level growth. While season 2 has been announced by Sony TV and registrations are open for new entrepreneurs, nothing is certain about participation of ‘sharks’ from the inaugural season.

But Anupam Mittal , founder Shaadi.com, opened up about his plans related with the season 2. Mittal, who was highly admired for his soft-spoken ways during the debut season, said in an interview that he was still in discussion about his participation this time. He shared that shooting for Shark Tank was a hectic job and hence nothing is certain currently about his plans. While he was excited about the new season coming up, the job requires full commitment, he said.

“It’s a full-time job, as apart from shoots there are promotions, styling etc. While we all want to do it, there’s something called life, so I don’t know,” Mittal told indianexpress.com. “However, if I do come on board, I am just going to be myself. While it would be challenging, the team is an amazing one and has learned from a successful season. They will definitely make a more entertaining season for sure,” he added.

Sharing his learnings for the inaugural season, Mittal said that he would ensure there is no deal done just out of FOMO (fear of missing out). Mittal said that he ended investing just out of FOMO during a couple of times. In addition, Mittal wants to seal more solo deals this time around than settling with multi-party deals.
