After basking in the success of blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik Aaryan is geared for his next, Shehzada. On his birthday in November 2022, the actor left his fans surprised with its teaser that shows him in action mode. Now, the actor is all set for a larger-than-life trailer launch in three cities-Mumbai, Punjab, and Gujarat ahead of the movie release.

Reportedly, the makers of the Shehzada have planned a grand launch on January 12 in presence of the media first in Mumbai. “The trailer is said to be a front-footed entertainer, with punches, punch lines, colour, music, and swag. Right after the launch in Mumbai, the leading pair, Kartik Aaryan, and Kriti Sanon will be off to Jalandhar in Punjab to celebrate Lohri on January 13,” said a source close to Pinkvilla. From Punjab, the team will be off to the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. The trailer will also be launched in the white desert amidst fanfare ahead of its release to create much-needed hype.

Directed by David Dhawan’s son Rohit Dhawan, Shehzada is a Hindi remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. In the film, Kartik is stepping into the shoes of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, who played the lead role in the original film. The film marks his second collaboration with Kriti after Luka Chhupi. Backed by T-Series Films, Geetha Arts, Haarika & Hassine Creations, and Brat Films, the film also stars Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Ronit Roy, and Sachin Khedekar. The film is set for February 10 release in theatres.

Besides Shehzada, Kartik has some interesting projects lined up in his kitty. He has Hansal Mehta’s, Captain India; Sajid Nadiadwala’s Satyaprem Ki Katha; Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3, and an untitled movie directed by Kabir Khan. On the other hand, Kriti has Adipurush, the Kill Bill remake and The Crew in the pipeline.
